Why We Built This Site
Kentucky gives residents access to many nonexempt public records, but Hardin County records do not all sit in one office. The Circuit Court Clerk at the Hardin County Justice Center handles Circuit, Family, District, traffic, probate court, and other trial-court case records. The County Clerk at the Hardin County Government Building handles marriage licenses, deeds, mortgages, wills recorded as instruments, vehicle registration, elections, and County Clerk open records. The Sheriff's Office and Detention Center handle law-enforcement and custody records. This site brings those office roles, access channels, and record distinctions into one county-focused reference.
